Brooklyn Montessori Primary and Pre-School

Helping each child reach their full potential in all areas of life

Maria Montessori believed that education begins at birth and the first few years of life, being the formative years, are the most important both physically and mentally.

The Toddler program prepares the child and provides a solid foundation for a smooth transition into the early learning stage (Children’s House).

Our Toddler class is a group of 10 to 15 children, with one directress and one assistant. Our special environment is specifically designed to meet the needs of toddles, with smaller furniture, lots of natural light and defined spaces to invite movement and opportunities for motor development. Throughout the year, the directress may recommend that some children move up to the Children’s House. The timing in this transition is based on each child’s development and readiness.
